Fittja Food & Art is Botkyrka konsthall’s annual art festival in the public space of Fittja!
This year’s edition will be an experience for all senses: a cooking and conversation workshop, baking Salteñas in the outdoor oven, smoking hot BBQ, a performance about Moral Courage at the Fittja square, an exhibition about Dreams, a drawing and illustration workshop, art projects, a sneak preview of the new art space in Fittja, DJ:s and an acoustic bodily experience!
Participating artists, chefs and DJ:s: Miriam Quiñonez de Vega, Rudy Loewe, Abir Boukhari in collaboration with Signe Vad & Michelle Appelros, Junior Residence, Botkyrka Childrens’ Art Camp, DJ Ferhat, Harun Morrison (They Are Here), Julia Adzuki & Patrick Dallard and the artists’ collective Ouff, and Pascha Grill among others!
The Fittja Food & Art Programme:
13.00 Miriam Quiñonez de Vega is baking Bolivian Salteñas in the outdoor oven.
13.00 DJ Workshop with Ferhat (until 14.30 ca).
14.00 Drawing and illustration with the artist Rudy Loewe (until 16.30).
14.00 Performance: Moral Courage by Junior Residence in collaboration with choreographer Kajsa Sandström, starts at the Fittja square and then continues at the Fittja Kitchen.
14.00 Workshop: meetings through cooking and conversations, and sharing a meal together with Abir Boukhari, Signe Vad & Michelle Appelros. A mixture of recipes and stories that traces back to the Middle East and Scandinavia.
14.00 Fittja’s smoking hot BBQ is served by Pascha Grill.
15.00 FaceDeco with Junior Residence.
15.00 A tour to the building site for the new art space by Botkyrka konsthall’s director Miriam Andersson Blecher. Meeting point at the Fittja kitchen.
15.30 DJ set by Harun Morrison (They Are Here).
During the day artists Julia Adzuki & Patrick Dallard invites you to feel the instrument bAUM sound through your body. bAUM is an acoustic string and drum instrument for experiencing acoustic resonance throughout the body. An instrument for tuning the whole self, for releasing hidden tensions and opening intuition.
This year’s Art Camp presents the exhibition Dreams , a series of imaginative installations and sculptures, showing it is possible to dream about absolutely everything.
Botkyrka konsthall’s creative studio invites you to experiment with vegetables and printing on various materials.
And the artists’ collecting OUFF will host a get-together!
Fittja Food & Art is organised by Botkyrka konsthall / Residence Botkyrka in collaboration with Botkyrkabyggen, the Multicultural centre in Fittja, Nordic Culture Point, Iaspis.
